Description

This is a 40W fire glow lamp on a B22 bayonet cap, with the familiar rounded GLS shape and a deep red glass envelope. It gives 390 lumens at a colour temperature of 1,950 Kelvin, a good deal warmer and redder than the 2,700K most household bulbs run at, so the light reads as glowing embers rather than as general room lighting. The filament is on show through the tinted glass, and at 40W it behaves the way filament lamps do, at full brightness the instant you switch it on.

Fire effect heaters, imitation coal and log fires and other decorative fittings that take a standard bayonet lamp are the usual home for a bulb like this, and it will sit in any ordinary B22 holder where you want a red glow rather than white light.
