Description

The Eveready 4.9W LED golf ball bulb produces 470 lumens of warm white 3000K light from an E27 Edison screw base. The compact 45mm diameter golf ball shape fits small lampshades, ceiling pendants and decorative fixtures where a standard GLS bulb would be too large. The bulb draws 4.9W on 230V mains, replacing a traditional 40W incandescent at approximately one-eighth of the running cost.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallway table lamps, the 3000K colour temperature gives a warm ambient glow comparable to traditional tungsten bulbs. The 240-degree beam angle provides wide light distribution suitable for general room lighting rather than focused task work. The non-dimmable output remains stable on standard switched circuits and timer-controlled installations.

The bulb carries an F energy efficiency rating under current EU regulations and is rated for 10,000 hours of operation, equivalent to approximately ten years at three hours per day. The golf ball profile measures 78mm tall including the base, fitting shallow shades and compact ceiling roses that cannot accommodate taller A60 GLS bulbs. The bulb is mercury-free and the LED chip is sealed within a frosted polycarbonate envelope that diffuses the light evenly.

Can this bulb be used with a dimmer switch?

No. This is a non-dimmable LED bulb and will not function correctly with dimmer switches. Use only on standard on-off switched circuits.
