Description

This is a golf ball shaped LED bulb on an E14 small screw cap, drawing 4.9W and giving 470 lumens. The pack rates it as the replacement for a 40W conventional bulb, so the light you get is familiar even though the power drawn is a fraction of it. The colour is 6,500K daylight, a crisp blue white rather than the yellow of an old filament lamp, and the white diffusing dome softens the LEDs behind it so the bulb reads as one bright ball rather than a cluster of bright points.

E14 is the smaller of the two screw caps used in the UK, often called SES, and it turns up in chandeliers, wall lights, small table lamps, bedside lamps and plenty of pendant shades.
