Description

The Eveready 4.9W LED GLS bulb delivers 470 lumens of daylight 6500K light through a standard E27 screw fitting. The GLS (General Lighting Service) shape replicates the classic incandescent A60 profile at 60mm diameter and 110mm height, making it a direct replacement for traditional 40W bulbs in table lamps, ceiling pendants and wall lights.

Operating on 220-240V mains, the bulb produces a cool, crisp white light suited to task-focused environments where colour accuracy and brightness matter — bathrooms for grooming, kitchens for food preparation, home offices for reading and screen work, garages and workshops for detailed tasks. The 220-degree beam angle provides near-omnidirectional coverage similar to an incandescent bulb.

The bulb carries a 10-year rated lifespan based on average use, reducing replacement frequency compared to halogen or incandescent equivalents. It is non-dimmable, so should be paired with standard on/off switches rather than dimmer circuits. The mercury-free LED construction removes the disposal concerns associated with compact fluorescent lamps.
