Description

The Eveready 4.9W LED GLS bulb delivers 470 lumens of 6500K daylight-temperature light through a B22 bayonet cap fitting. The 6500K output produces a crisp, cool white light that approximates natural daylight, making text and detail work easier to see compared to warmer 2700K-3000K alternatives. The bulb is rated to replace a 40W incandescent while drawing just 4.9W from the mains.

Designed for task-focused spaces rather than ambient living areas, the bulb suits garages, workshops, utility rooms, laundry areas, home offices and storage spaces where clarity and visibility matter more than warmth. The 220-degree beam angle provides wide coverage from a single ceiling fitting. The B22 bayonet cap fits standard UK bayonet lamp holders in ceiling pendants, table lamps and wall lights.

The bulb carries an F energy rating under the revised EU energy label scale (where A is most efficient and G is least). The 10-year lifespan rating assumes average domestic use of 2.7 hours per day, reducing the frequency of replacement compared to halogen or incandescent equivalents. The bulb is non-dimmable and must not be used with dimmer switches, as this can cause flickering or premature failure.
