Description
The Eveready 4.9W LED candle bulb is a compact E27-base replacement for 40W incandescent candle bulbs, delivering 470 lumens of warm white 3000K light. Each bulb measures 44mm wide by 110mm tall, fitting standard decorative fixtures including chandeliers, wall sconces, pendant fittings and table lamps. The bulbs run on 220-240V mains and are non-dimmable.
Designed for decorative and ambient lighting in bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and living spaces, the candle shape suits exposed-bulb fixtures where the traditional filament candle aesthetic matters. The 280-degree beam angle provides wide-spread illumination rather than focused spotlighting, making these bulbs better suited to general room lighting than task or reading applications.
The LED technology reduces power consumption by 88% compared to the 40W incandescent equivalent while maintaining similar brightness. Each bulb is rated for up to 10 years of typical household use (approximately 15,000 hours), and carries an F energy rating under current UK bulb labelling. The bulbs contain no mercury and produce minimal heat during operation.
This 2-pack offers a direct retrofit for existing E27 chandelier or wall light fittings without requiring rewiring. The frosted polycarbonate shell diffuses the LED chip array inside, preventing glare and creating a softer light distribution than clear-glass LED candles.

Frequently Asked
Are these bulbs dimmable?
No. These Eveready LED candle bulbs are non-dimmable and should not be used with dimmer switches. Connecting them to a dimmer circuit may cause flickering, reduced lifespan or complete failure.
What brightness are they compared to traditional bulbs?
Each 4.9W LED candle produces 470 lumens, equivalent to a traditional 40W incandescent candle bulb. They provide general ambient lighting rather than high-output task lighting.
How long do they last?
Eveready rates these bulbs for up to 10 years of typical household use, which equates to approximately 15,000 hours. Actual lifespan depends on operating conditions and switching frequency.
Do they get hot?
LED bulbs produce significantly less heat than incandescent or halogen equivalents. These candle bulbs remain cool enough to touch after extended operation, making them safer in enclosed fixtures and reducing fire risk in decorative fittings.
