Description

The Eveready 4.9W LED candle bulb uses a B15 small bayonet cap and delivers 470 lumens at 3000K warm white, replacing a traditional 40W incandescent bulb at a fifth of the power draw. The candle shape suits small decorative fittings where the bulb is visible, including chandeliers, candelabras and wall lights with open shades.

Sold as a twin pack, these bulbs operate on 220-240V mains and carry an F energy rating under the current EU scale. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm ambient glow suited to living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas where softer light is preferred over the cooler tones of daylight bulbs. The 280-degree beam angle provides wide light distribution from a compact 45mm diameter and 110mm height envelope.

Each bulb is non-dimmable and designed for standard on/off switching only. The LED technology inside reduces energy consumption by approximately 88% compared to the 40W filament bulbs they replace, while the extended LED lifespan reduces the frequency of bulb changes in hard-to-reach ceiling fittings.

Are these bulbs dimmable?

No. These are non-dimmable LED bulbs designed for standard on/off switching only. Installing them with a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage the bulb.

What fitting does the B15 base suit?

B15 is a small bayonet cap, also called SBC. It fits chandeliers, wall lights and decorative fittings that use the smaller bayonet base, as opposed to the larger B22 BC base found in most UK ceiling pendants.
