Description
The Eveready 4.9W LED candle bulb fits a B15 small bayonet cap and produces 470 lumens of warm white 3000K light. Designed as a direct replacement for 40W incandescent candle bulbs, it draws 4.9W on 220-240V mains, reducing energy consumption by approximately 88% compared to the incandescent equivalent whilst delivering similar light output.
The candle shape and B15 fitting suit chandeliers, wall sconces, decorative table lamps and smaller bedside fittings where the bulb is visible or partially exposed. The 280-degree beam angle provides wide light distribution without the focused directional beam of a spotlight bulb. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white tone that pairs comfortably with traditional and contemporary interiors, warmer than daylight bulbs but cooler than vintage-style filament LEDs.
The bulb carries an F energy rating under the revised EU energy label scale introduced in 2021, which recalibrated the A-G scale to account for LED efficiency improvements. The mercury-free construction means the bulb can be disposed of as general waste rather than requiring specialist recycling. Eveready rates this LED candle for 10,000 hours typical lifespan, which equates to approximately 10 years at 3 hours per day usage before noticeable degradation in light output.
This is a non-dimmable bulb and should not be used with dimmer switches — pairing with a dimmer will cause flickering, premature failure or damage to the bulb's driver circuit. For dimmer-compatible B15 candle bulbs, search the Niori catalogue for dimmable variants.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between B15 and B22 bulb fittings?
B15 is a small bayonet cap measuring 15mm in diameter, commonly used in smaller decorative fittings, chandeliers and some bedside lamps. B22 is the larger 22mm bayonet cap used in most UK ceiling fittings and standard table lamps. This bulb is B15 and will not fit B22 sockets.
Can this bulb be used with a dimmer switch?
No. This is a non-dimmable LED bulb and must not be used with dimmer switches. Pairing it with a dimmer will cause flickering, buzzing, premature failure or damage to the internal driver circuit.
What does the F energy rating mean?
The F rating is under the revised EU energy label scale introduced in 2021. The scale was recalibrated so that most LED bulbs now sit in the E, F or G bands, with higher bands reserved for future efficiency improvements. An F-rated LED still consumes approximately 88% less energy than the 40W incandescent bulb it replaces.
How long does the bulb last?
Eveready rates this LED candle for 10,000 hours typical lifespan. At 3 hours per day usage, this equates to approximately 10 years before noticeable degradation in light output or complete failure.
