Description
The Eveready GU10 LED is a 4.7W non-dimmable spotlight bulb delivering 320 lumens of daylight-white light at 6500K. Each bulb draws 4.7W on 230V mains, replacing a traditional 35W halogen GU10 with the same light output while using 87% less energy. The pack contains two bulbs with standard GU10 twist-and-lock bases that fit directly into existing GU10 downlight fittings without rewiring.
Daylight bulbs at 6500K produce a crisp, cool-white light that closely matches natural midday sunlight, making them well-suited to kitchens, bathrooms, home offices and task-focused spaces where clarity and colour accuracy matter. The 110° beam angle provides wide coverage from recessed downlights, reducing the number of fittings needed to light a room compared to narrow-beam spotlights. Each bulb is rated for up to 10,000 hours of use, equivalent to approximately 10 years at an average of 2.7 hours per day.
The GU10 base measures 50mm diameter at the lamp face and 57mm in total height, fitting standard recessed downlight housings and surface-mounted GU10 track systems. The bulbs are non-dimmable and should not be paired with dimmer switches, as this can cause flickering or shorten the bulb's lifespan. The colour rendering index (CRI) above 80 ensures that colours appear naturally under the light, though the cool daylight tone will shift warm colours (reds, oranges, yellows) slightly towards blue compared to how they appear under warm-white or halogen light.

Frequently Asked
Can these bulbs be used with a dimmer switch?
No. These are non-dimmable bulbs and must not be used with dimmer switches. Doing so can cause flickering, humming, or premature failure of the bulb.
What's the difference between daylight 6500K and warm white?
Daylight 6500K produces a crisp, cool-white light similar to midday sunlight, giving clear visibility and accurate colour rendering in task-focused spaces like kitchens and offices. Warm white (2700K-3000K) produces a softer, yellowish glow suited to living rooms and bedrooms. The choice depends on the room's purpose and your preference for light tone.
What halogen wattage do these replace?
Each 4.7W LED bulb replaces a 35W halogen GU10, producing the same 320 lumens of light output while using 87% less energy. Some packaging may reference a 50W equivalent, but the actual light output matches a standard 35W halogen spotlight.
How long do these bulbs last?
Each bulb is rated for 10,000 hours of use. At an average of 2.7 hours per day, that equates to approximately 10 years of lifespan before the bulb needs replacing.
