Description

This is a 13.8W LED GLS bulb with an E27 screw cap, the rounded opal-white shape most people picture when they think of a light bulb. It gives 1521 lumens, and the retail pack rates that as a replacement for a 100W conventional bulb, so it sits at the brighter end of the household range rather than the more common 60W or 75W equivalents. Its light is warm white at 3000K, a slightly crisper warmth than a 2700K filament lamp without tipping towards blue, and the opal diffuser spreads it across a 200 degree beam.

The E27 cap is the larger of the two common screw fittings in the UK, often written as ES. If you are matching an old bulb, the threaded metal base measures about 27mm across; the smaller E14 is roughly 14mm and will not fit. This size suits ceiling pendants, rise and fall fittings over a dining table, hallway and landing lights, and larger table and floor lamps.
