This is a bayonet cap LED bulb in the familiar GLS shape, the rounded household bulb that has sat in pendants and table lamps for decades. The cap is B22, the push and twist bayonet fitting used across most older UK light fittings, so if the lamp you are replacing has two small pins on the side of a metal cap rather than a screw thread, this is the one to buy. It draws 13.8W and gives 1521 lumens, and the retail pack rates that as the equal of an old 100W incandescent bulb. Eveready calls the colour daylight, 6500K, a crisp blue leaning white with none of the yellow you get from a warm white lamp.

Daylight at this brightness is a working light rather than a relaxing one. It suits kitchens, utility rooms, garages, workshops, home offices and stairwells: anywhere you want to see edges and colours clearly and read small print without leaning in. In a living room or a bedroom, 1521 lumens of daylight can feel clinical, so if you are lighting somewhere to sit and unwind, a warm white lamp is the happier choice. LED lamps also run far cooler than the incandescent bulbs they replace, which is worth knowing if the bulb sits inside a shade.

Neither the pack nor the manufacturer's specification says anything about dimming: on a dimmer circuit, choose a lamp that prints the word dimmable on its box. Is this bulb dimmable?

Eveready prints no dimming information on the retail pack and gives none in its specification, so we cannot say either way. On a plain on and off switch it works normally. If the circuit runs through a dimmer, pick a lamp whose box states dimmable.

What does 6500K daylight look like in a room?

It is a crisp, slightly blue white with no yellow in it, closer to a bright overcast sky than to candlelight. Warm white sits around 2700K to 3000K and cool white around 4000K, so this is the coolest of the three.

How many bulbs are in a pack, and can I order just one bulb?

Can I use these outdoors?

No IP rating is printed on the pack, so keep them to dry indoor fittings. A lamp with no stated rating has no declared protection against water or dust, and an outdoor lantern needs both a lamp and a fitting rated for the job.
