Description

The Etoile is a 133mm-wide conical pendant light with a matt black metal exterior, a gold-painted interior and a cast resin star accent finished in gold leaf that sits mid-way up the suspension cord. The pendant shade tapers from a 133mm diameter at the rim to a narrower top, housing a single E27 bulb fitting inside (bulb sold separately). The gold interior reflects warm light back down through the shade aperture while the black exterior absorbs ambient light, creating contrast between the lit and unlit states.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallways and dining nooks where a single focused pendant provides task or accent lighting, the Etoile works individually over a small table or in multiples spaced 600-800mm apart along a longer worktop or counter. The 914mm cord is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set between minimum drop of 572mm and maximum drop of 1511mm from the ceiling rose to the base of the shade. This range suits ceiling heights from 2.4m up to 3m without the shade hanging too low or too high for comfortable use.

The star accent — positioned approximately 200mm below the ceiling rose — adds a decorative detail without interfering with the light output. The matt black finish on the metal shade is a low-sheen powder coat that resists fingerprints and pairs with black metalwork, dark joinery and industrial-styled interiors. The gold interior works with both warm-white LED bulbs (2700K-3000K) and vintage-style filament bulbs, enhancing the warm tones rather than cooling them. The pendant weighs approximately 0.8kg and fits standard UK ceiling roses.
