Description

The Etoile is a medium pendant light with a conical aged brass shade, gold-painted interior and a decorative starburst accent positioned mid-cord between the canopy and shade. The metal shade tapers from 180mm at the canopy end to 280mm at the mouth, directing light downward while the gold interior reflects warm tones back through the aperture.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars, the Etoile suits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The 90cm black cord is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang 600-750mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height and required task lighting coverage. The single E27 fitting accepts any standard screw bulb up to 60W.

The aged brass finish shows subtle tonal variation across the shade surface, darker in recessed areas and lighter on raised edges, giving the metal a patinated appearance that differs from polished or brushed brass. The gold leaf starburst accent sits at the cord junction point and acts as a visual stop between the black flex and the brass shade body. The combination of aged brass exterior and gold interior creates a warm metallic palette that pairs with both warm-toned timber kitchens and cooler grey or white schemes.

What bulb does it take?

The Etoile takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for dining and kitchen use.

Is the cord length adjustable?

Yes. The 90cm black cord can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height and required drop above the surface below. Once installed the cord length is fixed unless re-fitted.

What size table or island does it suit?

The 280mm shade diameter suits kitchen islands and dining tables between 1.2m and 1.8m in length. For islands longer than 1.8m, two Etoile pendants spaced 800-1000mm apart provide more even coverage.

How is the aged brass finish maintained?

Aged brass develops a natural patina over time. To preserve the finish, wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid metal polishes or chemical cleaners, which will strip the aged patina and return the brass to a brighter tone.
