The Ethrina is a semi flush ceiling light with a deep shade of white opal glass that flares out from a brass fitter and steps down to a rounded dome at its base. It hangs on a short stem from a round ceiling plate, so the whole light stays close to the ceiling, and it is 27cm tall and 35cm across. We offer it in Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome or Satin Chrome, so you can match it to the door handles, switches and other metalwork around it.

A hallway suits it well. Where a pendant on a long drop can feel in the way, a fitting that keeps close to the ceiling leaves more headroom while still giving the space a proper centre light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use. The light takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately, which leaves the choice of bulb to you. It is a mains fitting, so a qualified electrician should wire it in to the ceiling.

The satin finishes have a soft, brushed look, the polished finishes are bright and reflective, and the antique finishes have a darker, aged tone that suits older houses. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered by that guarantee.
