Description

The Essence is a slim wall light built as a single square-profile bar that sits flat against the wall and directs its light downward. The integrated LED runs behind a satin opal diffuser on the underside, so the fitting casts an even sheet of light down the wall below it rather than up, picking out what sits beneath. Unlit, it reads as a crisp brass edge, only 40mm high, held tight to the plaster.

It runs at 3000K, a warm white, putting out 2000 lumens along the length to light a worktop, mirror or run of pictures. The bar is 1150mm long and 40mm high, projecting 120mm from the wall so the downward beam clears the surface below. Because the light falls straight down, it suits a spot where you want a defined wash rather than a soft glow, such as over a vanity, kitchen splashback or a framed piece.

The base and structure are powder-coated aluminium in a brass finish, with a fixed satin opal polycarbonate diffuser. The LED is built in and included, so it lights the moment it is wired, with no bulbs to buy and a rated life of 50,000 hours. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, we would have an electrician make the connection.

What kind of light does the Essence give?

A direct downward wash. The LED sits behind an opal diffuser on the underside of the square bar, so it casts an even sheet of light down the wall below rather than up. At 3000K it is a warm white suited to worktops, vanities and artwork.

Does it come ready to light?

Yes. The LED is integrated and included, rated at 19W and 2000 lumens with a 50,000 hour life, so there are no bulbs to buy. It arrives ready for an electrician to wire in.

Is it dimmable?

It is supplied as a standard on/off fitting and is not dimmable as standard. If you would like to set the level, let us know and we can advise on a compatible dimming setup.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The bar is 1150mm long and 40mm high, standing 120mm off the wall so its downward beam clears the surface. It works over a vanity, kitchen splashback, mirror or a run of framed pictures.
