Description
The Essence is a slim linear pendant built as a single 1150mm rod, here with a square profile, running an opal polycarbonate diffuser along its full length. That diffuser turns the integrated LED into a soft, even line of light rather than a row of bright points, so it washes the length of a surface below evenly instead of casting one hot pool. In the black finish the squared bar reads as a crisp dark line against a pale ceiling, lit or unlit.
The light is warm and steady at 3000K, putting out 2250 lumens across the bar for an even glow over a table. The rod hangs from thin cables that you shorten at installation, dropping from about 330mm to 2135mm, so the height can be set to the ceiling and the surface beneath. At 1150mm long it is sized to sit over a dining table, a kitchen island or a long worktop.
The body is powder-coated aluminium in matt black with a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser on PVC cable. The LED is built in and included, so it lights the moment it is wired, with no bulbs to buy and a rated life of 50,000 hours. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, so we would have an electrician make the connection.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Essence give?
A soft, even line of warm light. The opal polycarbonate diffuser spreads the integrated LED along the full 1150mm rod, so it washes the length of a table or worktop evenly rather than casting one bright pool. It is warm and steady at 3000K.
Does it come ready to light?
Yes. The LED is integrated and included, rated at 19W and 2250 lumens with a 50,000 hour life, so there are no bulbs to buy. It arrives ready to wire in.
What is the difference between the square and round versions?
Only the profile of the rod. This is the square-profile bar, which reads as a crisper, more architectural line; the round version has a rounded cross-section. The light, size and output are the same.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The rod is 1150mm long and 60mm across, with a drop adjustable from 330mm to 2135mm. That length suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a long worktop below it.
