Description

The Essence is a slim wall light built as a single round bar that sits flat against the wall and casts its light upward. The integrated LED is hidden behind a satin opal diffuser and aimed back at the wall, so the light reads as a soft indirect wash that grazes the surface above the fitting rather than a bright spot you look into. Unlit, it holds its shape as a clean dark line, only 70mm deep, so it stays close to the wall.

This version runs at 4000K, a cooler and brighter white, putting out 2300 lumens along the bar to lift a hallway, stairwell or landing with even light. The bar is 1150mm long and 70mm high, projecting 99mm from the wall, so it works run horizontally above a console or headboard, or set vertically beside a doorway. Because the light is thrown back at the wall, the effect depends on a pale surface behind it to bounce off.

The base and body are powder-coated aluminium in a matt black finish, with a fixed satin opal polycarbonate diffuser. The LED is built in and included, so it lights the moment it is wired, with no bulbs to buy and a rated life of 50,000 hours. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, so we would have an electrician make the connection.

Is it dimmable?

It is supplied as a standard on/off fitting and is not dimmable as standard. If you would like to set the level, let us know and we can advise on a compatible dimming setup.

The bar is 1150mm long and 70mm high, standing 99mm off the wall. It works above a console, headboard or along a landing, mounted horizontally or vertically beside a door, on a pale wall that bounces the upward light.
