Description

The Erin is a 1100mm linear pendant light with a solid wood body housing an integrated 37W LED strip behind a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser. The light brown wood finish shows natural grain variation, and the fitting hangs from a matt black painted metal canopy on a transparent PVC cable. The 37W LED produces warm 3000K light that casts evenly downward through the diffuser along the full length of the bar.

Designed for hanging over dining tables, kitchen islands and office desks where continuous linear light is needed across a horizontal surface, the Erin suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 1100mm length works over tables from 1600mm to 2200mm long, and the 80mm square cross-section keeps the profile low without overwhelming the space beneath. The IP20 rating makes this an indoor-only fitting, suitable for dry locations including living areas, bedrooms and commercial hospitality settings.

The wood body is finished but unsealed, allowing the natural grain to remain visible and tactile. Each piece shows different grain patterns and tonal variation depending on the section of timber it was cut from. The matt black canopy provides a contrasting anchor point against white or light ceilings, and the transparent cable keeps the visual mass focused on the wood bar itself rather than the pendant light hardware. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable.

No. The integrated 37W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light operates at full output only when switched on.

What table length does this suit?

The 1100mm length works best over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1600mm and 2200mm long. For longer tables, consider pairing two Erin fittings end-to-end with a gap between them to maintain even light distribution.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED strip is integrated into the wood body and is not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covering LED failure during normal use.

Does the wood finish vary between pieces?

Yes. Each Erin is made from natural wood, so grain pattern, knots and tonal variation differ between individual fittings. This is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.
