Description
The Equinoxe is a wall light built as a single blown-glass sphere held on a slim arm off a small round backplate. The glass is graded, or sfumato, running from clear at the base to a soft amber at the top, so the G4 capsule inside shows as a warm point held in tinted glass rather than a bare bulb. Lit, it reads as a glowing orb on the wall; unlit, it sits as a quiet amber ball on its antique brass fitting.
The sphere stands about 450mm tall and projects 180mm from the wall, so it holds its own beside a bed, along a hallway or either side of a mirror, and pairs well where two matched globes frame a headboard or a console. It gives a gentle pool of light rather than a bright wash, so it suits a soft accent more than a main source.
The structure is plated metal in a antique brass finish, and the diffuser is clear borosilicate glass with the amber fade applied. It takes one G4 capsule at up to 2W, and the lamp is included, so it lights the moment it is wired. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, so we would have an electrician make the connection.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Equinoxe give?
A soft, contained glow. The single G4 capsule sits inside a graded amber glass sphere, so the light reads as a warm point held in tinted glass rather than a bright bare bulb. It gives a gentle pool on the wall rather than a wide wash.
Does it come with a bulb?
Yes. One G4 capsule lamp at up to 2W is included, so the wall light arrives ready to wire and light.
Can it be dimmed?
There is no built-in dimmer. Because it uses a standard G4 capsule, it can be dimmed by fitting a dimmable G4 lamp on a compatible dimmer. We can advise on suitable lamps.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The glass sphere stands about 450mm tall and projects 180mm from the wall. At that size it suits a bedside, a hallway or a mirror surround, and two can be paired to frame a bed or a console.
