Enya 9 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Enya is a 600mm flush ceiling light with nine G9 bulb fittings arranged behind layered bands of Asfour cut crystal, mounted on a polished chrome circular frame. The crystal forms a stacked ring structure with square-cut pieces set in tight rows around the perimeter and smaller faceted pieces filling the underside, creating a dense field of reflective surfaces that scatter light in all directions when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for rooms with low ceilings where a pendant would hang too low, the Enya fits ceiling heights of 2.2m and above with only 150mm of projection from the ceiling surface. The flush design suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms where ambient rather than task lighting is needed. The nine G9 bulbs (sold separately) can be matched to dimmable LEDs for variable brightness, or halogen capsules for warmer light quality.

The polished chrome base reflects upward into the ceiling while the crystal bands direct the majority of light downward and outward into the room. The frosted white diffuser plate in the centre softens the glare from the nine bulbs and prevents direct view of the lamp capsules when standing underneath. At 7.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or solid substrate, and the polished chrome finish pairs cleanly with both modern and classical interiors where reflective metalwork is already present.

The Asfour crystal is optically clear K9 grade glass cut with geometric facets that produce prismatic light dispersion when the lamps are on. The square-cut outer band and smaller faceted underside pieces are arranged in concentric rings with minimal gaps between each crystal element, creating a dense layer that blocks direct view of the chrome frame behind and gives the impression of a continuous luminous surface when lit from within.

What bulbs does it need?

The Enya requires nine G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range at 2700K-3000K provide warm ambient light suitable for living rooms and bedrooms, while halogen G9 capsules offer warmer colour rendering at higher wattage.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. LED G9 bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with a trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 150mm projection from the ceiling makes the Enya suitable for ceiling heights of 2.2m and above. Rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings can also accommodate the fitting comfortably, as the flush design keeps the light close to the ceiling plane.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal piece. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid sprays, polishes and abrasive cloths that can scratch the crystal or leave residue on the polished chrome.
