Description

The Ennis is a compact flush ceiling light: a slim brass cylinder on a round ceiling plate, casting its light downwards through a glass lens set into its base. It is 14cm tall and 7.5cm across, small enough to sit neatly on a low ceiling or in a narrow corridor without crowding the space. It takes one GU10 bulb, and bulbs are sold separately; choose an LED GU10 of up to 5W per bulb. Because the light leaves through the base, it lights what sits beneath it rather than the whole ceiling.

We offer the Ennis in seven finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White and Satin Brass. The Matt Black is painted to RAL 9005 and the White to RAL 9010, which helps if you are matching other paintwork in the room. It also comes in two versions, IP44 and IP65, and either rating suits a bathroom, where a small, neat downlight earns its place. It is just as much at home in a hallway, where several fitted along the ceiling give a steady run of light from the front door onwards.

Each Ennis is made from brass and glass, and every one is made to order for you in Ireland. The body is a plain cylinder with a fine joint around its middle and a deeper collar where it meets the ceiling plate, a simple shape that reads well in a period house or a modern one. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. The Ennis is wired in to the mains, so fitting it is a job for a qualified electrician. Have your GU10 LED bulb ready before the electrician arrives, so the light can be switched on and checked as soon as it is in place. Our photographs show the Polished Brass finish.
