What fixing is required for the ceiling canopy?

The lantern weighs approximately 4.5kg when assembled. The ceiling canopy must be fixed to a solid joist, beam or masonry surface capable of supporting the weight. Plasterboard alone is not sufficient and requires either a joist fixing or a metal cavity fixing rated for the load.
