Description

This wooden photo frame marks the happy news simply and warmly, with the word "Engaged" printed in grey typewriter-style letters across the top. Beneath the opening sits a small spray of pink and peach flowers with soft green leaves, finished in a gentle watercolour look. The white front has a light, whitewashed grain that lets the texture of the wood come through, and it sits on a natural wood border that edges the whole piece. It holds a 6 x 4in photograph in a landscape opening, with no mount, and measures 24cm wide, 19.5cm tall and 2cm deep.

Stand it on a mantelpiece, a bedside table, a shelf or a desk, and it keeps a favourite engagement photograph close at hand, whether that is the proposal, the ring or the first snap taken after the question was asked. The soft white and natural wood sit happily in a calm, country-style room as well as a brighter modern one, and the floral spray adds just enough colour without competing with your picture. It makes a thoughtful engagement gift, ready to fill with a photo from the day itself, and it stays on show long after the party is over, as a keepsake of the moment the next chapter began.

A fold-out strut on the back lets the frame stand on its own, so it needs no wall, nails or hooks, and a fabric tab holds the strut at a steady angle. The backing board is held by four turn clips, so changing the photograph takes only a moment. We suggest dusting it with a soft dry cloth and keeping it away from damp and steam, as is good practice for any wooden piece. For gifting, slip a printed photo inside before you wrap it, or leave it empty so the new owner can choose their own favourite shot to treasure.
