Description

The Energizer Vision Ultra is a 450-lumen LED head torch with seven light modes including white, red and green LEDs, controlled by Energizer's Smart Dimming technology. The torch delivers up to 450 lumens on high with an 85-metre beam distance, and runs for up to 50 hours on low power mode. Three Energizer Max AAA batteries are included in the pack.

Designed for outdoor activities including camping, hiking, night fishing and hunting, the head torch features red and green LED modes that preserve night vision in low-light conditions without alerting wildlife or reducing pupils' dark adaptation. The Vision Guard function gradually ramps up light intensity when switching modes, preventing sudden high-beam glare. An IPX4 rating provides protection against rain and splashes, while the 1-metre impact resistance rating covers accidental drops during outdoor use.

The torch housing is shatterproof polycarbonate, and the adjustable headband with yellow reflective strip fits over caps and helmets. A low battery indicator LED on the front of the unit flashes when the batteries need replacing, giving advance warning before the torch stops working. The dual-lens design positions the main white LED and the secondary red/green LEDs side-by-side, with independent controls for each mode accessed via two push-buttons on the top of the housing.

The Vision Ultra runs on three AAA batteries. Three Energizer Max AAA alkaline batteries are included in the pack, ready to use. Rechargeable AAA batteries can also be used.

What are the red and green LED modes for?

Red and green LEDs preserve night vision in low-light conditions. Red light prevents loss of dark adaptation when reading maps or checking equipment at night. Green light is useful for night fishing and hunting as it does not spook wildlife as readily as white light.

Is it waterproof?

The IPX4 rating means the torch is weather-resistant and protected against rain and splashes from any direction. It is not submersible and should not be used underwater or submerged in water.

How long does the battery last?

On high mode (450 lumens) the torch runs for approximately 2.75 hours. On low mode (20 lumens) runtime extends to around 50 hours. The low battery indicator flashes when the batteries are nearly depleted.
