Description
The Energizer Vision HD is a 270 lumen LED torch built from aircraft-grade aluminium with a knurled grip pattern and IPX4 water resistance rating. The torch delivers three output modes — high beam (270 lumens), low beam (80 lumens) and emergency strobe — switched via a digital button at the tail cap. The optical system uses MAXVIZ technology to produce a wide, daylight-colour beam rather than a narrow spot, providing better peripheral vision for tasks like searching under car bonnets, navigating pathways or working in confined spaces.
The torch runs on three AAA batteries (included) and provides 2.5 hours of continuous use on high beam or 12.5 hours on low beam. The aluminium body is impact-resistant to 1 metre drop height and carries IPX4 splash resistance, meaning it withstands rain and spray but should not be submerged. At 108mm long and 80g weight with batteries fitted, the Vision HD fits into jacket pockets, car glove boxes and tool bags without the bulk of larger tactical torches.
The MAXVIZ lens creates a wide flood beam rather than a tight spot, which suits close-to-medium range tasks (up to 84m on high beam, 45m on low beam) better than long-distance signalling. The aluminium body dissipates heat from the LED efficiently, maintaining consistent output over the full battery life. The digital tail-cap switch cycles through modes with each press — high, low, strobe, then off — with tactile feedback confirming each mode change.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between high beam and low beam?
High beam delivers 270 lumens with a run time of 2.5 hours and an 84m beam distance. Low beam outputs 80 lumens, extending run time to 12.5 hours with a 45m beam distance. The strobe mode is for emergency signalling only and alternates between modes to conserve battery.
Is the torch waterproof?
The IPX4 rating means the torch is splash-resistant and can withstand rain and spray from any angle. It is not submersible and should not be used underwater or left in standing water.
What batteries does it use?
The torch requires three AAA batteries, which are included in the pack. Energizer Max alkaline AAA batteries are supplied, providing the run times listed in the specification. Rechargeable AAA cells can also be used but will reduce run time slightly.
How does the MAXVIZ technology work?
MAXVIZ is Energizer's optical system that produces a wide flood beam with daylight-colour temperature rather than the narrow spot beam typical of most torches. This gives better peripheral vision for tasks like vehicle maintenance, pathway navigation and close-range work where a tight spot would create harsh shadows.
