Description

The Energizer Hardcase Professional Pivot is a 300 lumen LED torch with a pivoting head that rotates 175° and a magnetic base that secures the light to metal surfaces for hands-free use. The torch runs on two AA batteries (included) and switches between high mode (300 lumens, 5 hours runtime) and low mode (30 lumens, 30 hours runtime) via a large push-button that can be operated wearing gloves.

Built for workshop, garage, vehicle repair and outdoor maintenance work, the Hardcase is designed to survive repeated drops from up to 7 metres and carries an IPX4 water resistance rating for use in rain or damp conditions. The pivoting head allows the beam to be angled while the magnetic base holds the torch on vehicle bodywork, steel workbenches, tool cabinets or ladders, freeing both hands for the task. The built-in lanyard slot provides an alternative carry option.

The hardened polymer case is reinforced at impact zones and weighs 190g with batteries fitted, giving the torch enough mass to sit stable on flat surfaces without feeling heavy in the hand during extended use. The beam projects 30 metres on high mode and 10 metres on low mode, with the low setting providing enough light for close inspection work while extending battery life to a full working week. The large orange switch sits proud of the case and can be located by touch in low-light conditions.

What batteries does it take and are they included?

The torch runs on two AA batteries, which are included in the box (Energizer Max AA). Standard alkaline AAs can be used as replacements.

Can it be used in wet conditions?

Yes. The IPX4 rating means the torch is protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use in rain or damp workshops. It is not submersible.

How does the magnetic base work?

The magnetic base is integrated into the bottom of the torch and will attach to ferrous metal surfaces such as steel vehicle panels, tool cabinets, workbenches and ladders. The magnet is strong enough to hold the torch at an angle when the head is pivoted.

What is the beam distance on each mode?

On high mode (300 lumens) the beam projects 30 metres. On low mode (30 lumens) the beam distance is 10 metres, which suits close-range inspection and detail work.
