Description

The Energizer Hardcase Professional is a 325-lumen LED head torch with an impact-resistant polymer casing, dual LED configuration (spot and flood), and a weatherproof IPX4 rating. The torch runs on three AA batteries (included) and delivers a 7-metre beam range on high mode with up to 23 hours of runtime on low mode.

Designed for hands-free working in maintenance, construction, camping and emergency situations, the head torch fits on a non-slip adjustable strap that accommodates head sizes from 50-70cm circumference. The lamp housing tilts through approximately 90 degrees, allowing light to be angled from directly forward to down at your feet. The dual-mode push-button on top of the housing switches between high and low output without cycling through strobe modes.

The hardcase construction uses impact-resistant ABS polymer with rubberised sections around the battery compartment and front bezel, tested to withstand 1-metre drops onto concrete. The IPX4 rating provides protection against water splashes from any direction but does not allow submersion. The yellow adjustable headband is reflective, providing visibility when worn in low-light outdoor conditions. The dual LED array combines a central focusing lens for the main beam with two side-mounted flood LEDs for peripheral vision.

What batteries does it take and are they included?

The head torch requires three AA alkaline batteries, which are included in the pack. Energizer Max AA batteries are supplied ready for immediate use. Runtime is up to 23 hours on low mode and approximately 4 hours on high mode with fresh alkaline batteries.

Is it waterproof enough for outdoor use in rain?

The IPX4 rating means the torch is protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for use in rain, mist and damp workshop conditions. It is not submersible and should not be used underwater or in heavy downpours without additional protection.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

Yes. The lamp housing tilts on a friction hinge through approximately 90 degrees, allowing you to angle the beam from straight ahead to downward at your feet. The hinge holds position once set and does not require locking.

Will it fit over a safety helmet?

The Energizer Hardcase includes universal helmet clip attachments that allow the head torch to be mounted on most standard safety helmets and hard hats. The clips attach to the lamp housing and hook onto the helmet brim or rear retention strap.
