Description
The Energizer 7.2W LED GLS filament bulb is a direct replacement for a 100W incandescent bulb, delivering 1521 lumens of warm white 2700K light through visible LED filaments inside a clear glass envelope. The bulb uses a standard B22 bayonet cap, fits most UK table lamps, ceiling pendants and wall lights, and draws just 7.2W on 230V mains with an A energy rating.
Designed for general household lighting where consistent output is needed rather than dimming control, the bulb works in living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas and hallways. The 2700K colour temperature produces a warm incandescent-like tone that flatters skin tones and works in traditional interiors. The LED filaments are arranged vertically inside the bulb to mimic the appearance of traditional tungsten filament bulbs when lit, giving a familiar aesthetic in exposed-bulb fittings.
The GLS (general lighting service) shape is the standard rounded bulb profile, approximately 60mm diameter and 110mm overall length including the bayonet cap. The clear glass allows the filaments to be visible when the bulb is off as well as lit, which suits decorative fixtures where the bulb itself is part of the design. The bulb is rated for 50,000 hours of operation, substantially longer than both incandescent and compact fluorescent alternatives, reducing replacement frequency in high-use areas.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable?
No. The Energizer 7.2W GLS filament bulb is non-dimmable and should not be used with dimmer switches. Pairing a non-dimmable LED with a dimmer can cause flickering, reduced lifespan or immediate failure.
What incandescent wattage does it replace?
This 7.2W LED delivers 1521 lumens, which is equivalent to a traditional 100W incandescent bulb. The warm white 2700K colour temperature closely matches the tone of tungsten incandescent bulbs.
What does the bulb look like when switched off?
The clear glass envelope allows the vertical LED filaments to be visible when the bulb is off, giving it the appearance of a traditional filament bulb. This makes it suitable for exposed-bulb fixtures where the bulb itself is part of the aesthetic.
How long does it last?
The bulb is rated for 50,000 hours of operation. At typical household use of 3 hours per day, that equates to approximately 45 years before needing replacement.
