Description
The Energizer G125 is a 125mm diameter globe LED bulb with gold-tinted glass, a visible LED filament arrangement, and an E27 screw base. The bulb outputs 470 lumens at 2200K colour temperature from a 5W LED filament array, delivering warm amber-toned light comparable to early incandescent bulbs or candle flame. The oversized globe shape and gold tint make the bulb itself a visible design element when fitted to exposed-bulb pendants, bare-lamp ceiling roses, or decorative table lamps.
Designed for ambient and decorative lighting rather than task work, the G125 suits dining rooms, living rooms, hallways and bedrooms where the bulb is visible and the warm 2200K tone adds atmosphere. The dimmable LED allows output to be reduced from full brightness down to a low glow, controlled by most standard LED-compatible dimmer switches. The 320° beam angle provides near-omnidirectional light distribution typical of globe-shaped bulbs. At 5W consumption the bulb replaces traditional 40W incandescent globes while drawing 87% less power.
The gold glass tint softens the light output and gives the filament a vintage incandescent appearance when lit. When switched off, the bulb presents as an amber-gold glass sphere with the LED filament visible inside. The E27 base fits standard UK Edison screw lamp holders in pendants, ceiling fixtures, table lamps and floor lamps. At 178mm total height including the base, the bulb adds approximately 130mm of drop below the lamp holder once fitted, so check clearance in low-profile shades or enclosed fittings before installation.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable with standard dimmer switches?
Yes. The G125 is dimmable and compatible with most LED-compatible dimmer switches. Performance varies by dimmer model — some older incandescent-only dimmers may cause flicker or limit the dimming range. For best results use a trailing-edge or universal LED dimmer.
What does 2200K colour temperature look like?
2200K is a very warm amber-white light, similar to candlelight or early incandescent bulbs. It has a pronounced orange-yellow tone compared to standard warm white (2700K-3000K) and is used for ambient, atmospheric lighting rather than task work or areas requiring colour accuracy.
Will this fit inside a standard lampshade?
The 125mm globe diameter is quite large. It suits exposed-bulb fittings or shades with an internal diameter of at least 140mm. The total height of 178mm means the bulb extends approximately 130mm below the lamp holder, so check clearance in low-profile shades or ceiling roses with limited drop space.
How bright is 470 lumens?
470 lumens is roughly equivalent to a 40W incandescent bulb. This provides gentle ambient light suitable for mood lighting, bedside lamps, or decorative pendants. It is not bright enough for task lighting, reading, or kitchens where higher lumen output is needed.
