This is a 4W LED candle bulb on a B22 bayonet cap, the fitting that pushes in and turns a quarter rather than screwing. Inside the clear glass sit slim filament strips in a narrow fan, so it reads as a traditional candle lamp rather than a frosted modern one. It gives 470 lumens at 2700K warm white, and the pack rates that as the equal of a 40W incandescent candle.

B22 is the standard UK bayonet cap, with two small pins on the side that push in and turn a quarter turn. If your old bulb screwed in, it is an E27 or E14 and this one will not fit.

Is 470 lumens bright enough to replace a 40W candle bulb?

Yes. The pack rates this 4W lamp as a 40W replacement, and 470 lumens is the usual output for that swap in a multi arm chandelier or a wall light.

Can I use it on a dimmer switch?

No, this bulb is non dimmable. On a dimmer circuit expect flicker, buzzing or a shorter life, so give it a plain on and off switch instead.

What does 2700K warm white actually look like?

It is a soft, faintly golden light very close to old incandescent bulbs, and noticeably warmer than the 4000K cool white used in kitchens and workshops.

Will the filaments be on show through a clear shade?
