Energizer LED Globe Bulb E27 4W Filament Dimmable - Cool White 4000K

This is a G80 globe bulb on an E27 screw cap, the larger of the two screw fittings used on pendant sets and standard table lamps. G80 is the trade code for a globe 80mm across, so the glass sits noticeably rounder and wider than an ordinary household bulb while the cap stays familiar. Straight LED filament rods run inside the glass in place of a single hot wire, drawing 4W and giving 400lm. The pack rates that as a 40W replacement, and the glass carries a smoke tint that softens the filaments to a quieter glow.

A globe this size is meant to be seen, so it belongs where the bulb is on show: a bare flex over a kitchen island, three at stepped heights in a stairwell, an open lantern in a hallway, or a table lamp whose shade stops short of the cap. At 4,000K the light is cool white, a clean neutral rather than the yellow of a traditional bulb, which suits kitchens, home offices and utility rooms where you want to read colours accurately. If the rest of the room runs on warm white, keep the two temperatures out of the same fitting.

The pack marks the bulb as dimmable, so it will run on a dimmer, though that dimmer needs to be rated for LED loads; older rotary units built for filament bulbs often have a minimum wattage well above 4W and can flicker. Can I use it on a dimmer?
