Description

The Energizer LED Golf Ball is a 4.2W E27 bulb producing 470 lumens of 2700K warm white light, equivalent to a 40W incandescent. The compact 45mm golf ball shape fits small table lamps, wall lights and decorative fittings where a full-size GLS bulb would protrude or overwhelm the fixture proportions.

Designed for bedside lamps, decorative wall sconces, and hallway pendants where warm ambient light is needed without high brightness, the bulb draws just 4.2W on 230V mains while delivering a similar light output to traditional 40W filament bulbs. The 140-degree beam angle provides wide spread rather than focused spot lighting, making it suitable for general room illumination in smaller spaces. The standard E27 Edison screw base fits UK and European fittings without adapters.

Energizer rates the bulb for a 15-year lifespan based on average household usage of three hours per day, which translates to approximately 15,000 hours of operation before the LED output degrades to 70% of initial brightness. The non-dimmable LED driver maintains consistent light output without flicker on standard mains circuits, though attempting to use the bulb with dimmer switches may cause buzzing, flashing or premature failure.

The frosted polycarbonate shell diffuses the internal LED chip to prevent visible diode glare when the bulb is used in open or semi-exposed fittings. At just 50g and 87mm total height, the bulb adds minimal weight to pendant fittings and table lamp arms compared to older compact fluorescent equivalents.
