Description

The Energizer 4.2W LED candle bulb uses an E14 small Edison screw base and delivers 470 lumens of warm white 2700K light, replacing a traditional 40W incandescent candle bulb at a fraction of the energy consumption. The frosted candle-shaped glass diffuses light across a 240-degree beam angle, providing even coverage without visible LED chips or harsh glare.

Designed for chandeliers, wall sconces, table lamps and decorative light fittings that take E14 candle bulbs, the Energizer fits any standard small Edison screw socket. The warm white 2700K output works well in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallway lanterns where a softer, warmer light tone is preferred over cooler white LEDs. The bulb is non-dimmable and operates on 230V mains.

At 112mm height and 38mm diameter, the bulb has a compact footprint that suits narrow lampshades and smaller decorative fixtures where a full-sized GLS bulb would be too large. The frosted finish on the glass conceals the LED filament inside and creates a diffused light output similar to a traditional incandescent candle bulb. Energizer rates the bulb for up to 15 years of typical domestic use.

Is this bulb dimmable?

No. This Energizer LED candle bulb is non-dimmable and should not be used with dimmer switches. Attempting to dim a non-dimmable LED can cause flickering, reduced lifespan or damage to the bulb.

What does E14 mean and will it fit my lamp?

E14 is the small Edison screw base, also called SES. It has a 14mm diameter threaded metal base. This is the smaller of the two common screw bases in the UK (the larger being E27). Check your existing bulb or the lamp's specification to confirm whether it takes E14 or E27.

How bright is 470 lumens compared to an old incandescent bulb?

470 lumens is approximately equivalent to a 40W incandescent candle bulb. This is a moderate output suitable for decorative lighting, bedside lamps, and multi-bulb chandeliers rather than primary room lighting.
