This is a GU10 LED spotlight bulb drawing 2W and giving 360 lumens, with the light held in a narrow cone rather than spread across the room. The colour temperature is 2700K, the warm white end of the scale, so the light has the soft yellow cast people associate with the old halogen spots rather than the brighter, bluer white of an office. Can I use it on a dimmer switch?

No. The specification states it is not dimmable, and the pack carries the non-dimmable symbol. On a dimmer circuit it may flicker, buzz or fail to strike at low settings, so fit it to a plain on-off switch.

How bright is 360 lumens in practice?

The pack rates it as a 50W replacement. Because the 360 lumens are concentrated into a narrow cone rather than thrown in all directions, the beam itself reads brighter than the figure alone suggests.

What does 2700K warm white actually look like?

It is a soft, slightly yellow light, close to the old halogen spots it replaces. Cooler 4000K bulbs look crisper and whiter, so avoid mixing the two temperatures in one ceiling.

Is an IP rating given for this bulb?
