Description

The Energizer LED Elite GU10 is a 2W LED spotlight bulb delivering 360 lumens of 4000K cool white light in a narrow cone beam. The GU10 twist-lock base fits standard UK spotlight fittings, and the bulb replaces traditional 50W halogen GU10s while using 96% less energy.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, home offices and retail spaces where crisp, neutral task lighting is needed, the 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, providing clear illumination without the yellowish cast of warmer bulbs or the clinical tone of daylight LEDs. The narrow cone beam makes this bulb particularly suited to recessed downlights, track lighting and directional fittings where focused light is needed rather than wide ambient coverage.

The bulb carries an A energy rating and Energizer rates the lifespan at up to 50 years under typical domestic use (approximately 25,000 hours). The non-dimmable LED driver inside the bulb makes it incompatible with dimmer switches — it must be used on standard on/off circuits. The bulb arrives ready to fit and requires no warm-up time, reaching full brightness immediately when switched on.

Frequently Asked

Can this bulb be used with a dimmer switch?

No. This GU10 is non-dimmable and must be used on standard on/off circuits. Installing it on a dimmer circuit may cause flickering, buzzing or premature failure.

What is the beam angle?

The packaging states 'narrow cone', which typically means a beam angle of 36-40 degrees. This concentrated beam suits recessed downlights and track lighting where focused light is needed, rather than wide-angle ambient coverage.

How does 4000K cool white compare to warm white?

4000K sits between warm white (2700K-3000K) and daylight (5000K-6500K). It provides neutral, clear light without the yellowish tone of warm white or the blue-tinted clinical feel of daylight bulbs. This makes it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and workspaces where colour accuracy and clarity matter.

What halogen wattage does this replace?

This 2W LED delivers 360 lumens, equivalent to a 50W halogen GU10 spotlight. The energy saving is approximately 96% compared to the halogen it replaces.
