Description

The Energizer LED candle bulb is a 2.2W LED lamp with a B22 bayonet cap, producing 250 lumens at 2700K warm white. The frosted candle-shaped glass envelope measures 35mm in diameter and 98mm in height, fitting standard decorative fittings in chandeliers, wall sconces and table lamps where a traditional filament candle bulb would normally sit.

Designed as a direct replacement for 25W incandescent candle bulbs, this LED consumes 91% less energy whilst delivering equivalent brightness. The 280-degree beam angle spreads light omnidirectionally, making it suitable for multi-bulb decorative fittings where each bulb contributes to overall room illumination rather than providing directed task light. The B22 bayonet cap fits UK standard BC lamp holders with a simple push-and-twist action.

Energizer rates this bulb at a 15-year lifespan based on three hours daily use, which equates to approximately 16,425 hours of continuous operation before the LED output drops below 70% of initial brightness. The non-dimmable design maintains consistent 250-lumen output on standard on/off switching. The candle shape and frosted finish diffuse the LED source, avoiding the point-source glare that can occur with clear filament-style LED bulbs in open decorative fittings.

Frequently Asked

Can this bulb be used with a dimmer switch?

No. This is a non-dimmable LED bulb and will not function correctly on dimmer circuits. Attempting to use it with a dimmer may cause flickering, premature failure or damage to the dimmer itself. If you need dimmable candle bulbs, search for dimmable variants in the Energizer range or alternative brands at Niori.

What does the 15-year lifespan mean in practice?

The 15-year rating assumes three hours of use per day, which totals approximately 16,425 hours. If you use the bulb for longer daily periods, the calendar lifespan will be shorter. If used for one hour daily, the bulb could last well beyond 15 years before brightness degrades.

What's the difference between B22 and E27?

B22 is the UK standard bayonet cap fitting with two pins that push and twist into the lamp holder. E27 is the Edison screw fitting common in Europe. This Energizer bulb uses B22, which is the standard cap type for most UK decorative fittings, chandeliers and table lamps.

Is 250 lumens bright enough for a chandelier?

It depends on how many bulbs the chandelier takes. A five-arm chandelier with five of these bulbs would produce 1,250 lumens total, which suits a small dining room or bedroom. For larger rooms or higher light levels, consider pairing multiple bulbs or choosing a higher-lumen candle bulb if available.
