E27 (ES) LED Bulb 12.6W 1521lm Non-Dimmable - Warm White 2700K

This is a 12.6W LED bulb in the familiar GLS shape, the rounded household profile with a slightly tapered neck, finished with a frosted white cover and an E27 screw cap. It draws 12.6W and gives 1,521 lumens, and the Energizer box rates it as a 100W replacement, which makes it one of the brighter bulbs you can put into an ordinary screw fitting. The frosted cover sits over the diodes, so the bulb reads as one even glow rather than a cluster of bright points.

An E27 cap is the larger of the two common screw sizes used in the UK, and it is what most ceiling pendants, standard lamps and bigger table lamps take. Check the old bulb before you order: if the thread looks noticeably narrower, it is an E14 and this one will not thread in. The 240 degree beam angle sends light sideways as well as downwards, which suits an open or fabric shade, a rise and fall pendant over a dining table, or a landing fitting where you want the whole space lit rather than a single pool of light.

At 2,700K the light is warm white, the yellow-leaning tone people associate with old filament lamps, and it settles well in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. Will this fit my ceiling pendant?

If the old bulb screws in and the thread measures about 27mm across, it is an E27 and this bulb will fit. Bayonet caps with two pins and narrower E14 threads will not.

How bright is 1,521 lumens in a normal room?

It is bright enough to be the main light in an average living room or kitchen on its own, and the pack rates it as a replacement for an old 100W filament bulb.

Can I use it with a dimmer switch?

No. The specification lists it as non dimmable, so it should go on a standard on and off switch. On a dimmer it may flicker, buzz or fail early.

What does 2,700K warm white actually look like?

It is a soft, slightly yellow light close to the tone of an old filament lamp, which suits relaxed rooms better than the bluer 4,000K and 6,500K options.

How many bulbs do I receive?

Each box contains one bulb. The minimum order is 12 boxes, sold in multiples of 12, so a single order covers a whole house.

Does the wide beam angle matter for an open shade?

Yes. At 240 degrees the light spreads sideways as well as down, so an open or translucent shade will glow evenly instead of casting light only at the floor.
