Description

A G9 capsule is the small two-pin lamp that pushes straight into its holder rather than screwing or twisting in, and this one is an LED version drawing 1.8W for 200 lumens. The colour temperature is 2700K, the warm white end of the scale, and the pack gives it as a replacement for a 20W halogen capsule. The casing is clear and ribbed, with the LED chips sitting on a board inside, so it looks much like the halogen capsule it replaces once it is seated in a fitting.

G9 holders turn up in the places where a full size bulb will not fit: multi-arm ceiling fittings and chandeliers, wall lights, picture lights, cooker hoods, display cabinets and under-cabinet kitchen lighting. With a 300 degree beam angle the light spreads almost the whole way around the capsule rather than firing forward, which suits a shade or a glass diffuser you want filled evenly.
