Description
The Energizer G9 LED is a 1.8W capsule bulb producing 200 lumens at 6500K, a bright daylight white colour temperature. The compact G9 twin-pin base fits directly into standard G9 sockets found in ceiling downlights, wall lights, under-cabinet fittings and table lamps. Each bulb replaces a 20W halogen capsule, cutting power consumption by 91% while maintaining comparable brightness.
Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, home offices and utility areas where bright task lighting is needed, the 6500K output provides high colour rendering and clarity for reading, food preparation and detailed work. The non-dimmable design maintains stable output across the 15-year rated lifespan. This pack contains two bulbs, enough to convert a standard twin-bulb bathroom vanity fitting or a pair of bedside wall lights.
The capsule measures approximately 45mm in length including pins and 15mm in diameter, fitting within the shade envelope of most compact G9 fittings. The Energy Rating E classification reflects the 1.8W power draw on 230V mains. Unlike halogen capsules which generate significant heat and typically fail within 2,000 hours, the LED construction runs cool and is rated for up to 15,000 hours of operation.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable?
No. The Energizer G9 LED is non-dimmable and will not work with dimmer switches. Attempting to use it with a dimmer may cause flickering or damage to the bulb. Use only with standard on/off switches.
What does 6500K look like compared to warm white?
6500K is classified as daylight white, producing a bright, crisp, slightly blue-toned light similar to midday sun. This is cooler and brighter-looking than 2700K-3000K warm white, which has a yellow-orange tone. Daylight white suits task lighting where clarity and visibility matter more than ambience.
Will this fit my existing G9 halogen fitting?
Yes. The G9 twin-pin base is a direct fit for standard G9 sockets. The capsule dimensions are approximately 45mm x 15mm, which fits within the shade envelope of most G9 downlights, wall lights and table lamps originally designed for halogen capsules.
How long will these bulbs last?
Energizer rates the lifespan at 15 years based on 3 hours of use per day, which equates to approximately 15,000 hours of operation. This is significantly longer than halogen G9 capsules, which typically last 2,000 hours or less.
