Description

The Empatia is a blown glass pendant light built around a teardrop-shaped clear outer shell with a frosted white diffuser suspended inside it. The integrated 5W 3000K LED sits within the inner diffuser, so the light source itself is hidden and only the soft, warm glow of the diffuser is visible through the clear glass. A discreet white canopy and exposed transparent suspension cable carry the fitting from the ceiling.

The pendant suits dining tables, kitchen islands, bedside positions and stairwell drops where the brief is for ambient light rather than directed task light. The 150cm cable allows the fitting to be hung from standard 2.4m ceilings down to a comfortable height above a dining surface, and the cable can be shortened on installation. Three diameter options (16cm, 26cm, 36cm) make it possible to install a single pendant over a bedside table or cluster three sizes at staggered drops over a longer dining run.

The double-glass construction is the defining feature: the outer envelope is hand-blown clear glass with the soft irregularities typical of mouth-blown work, while the inner diffuser is a separate opal element that holds the LED module. This layering creates depth when the light is on, with the inner diffuser appearing to float inside the outer shell. The 5W LED draws minimal power for an ambient fitting and the 3000K colour temperature gives a warm white tone suited to relaxed, evening-use rooms.

Does the pendant come with a bulb?

Yes. The Empatia uses an integrated 5W LED rated at 3000K warm white, built into the inner diffuser. There is no separate bulb to fit and the LED is not user-replaceable.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED runs on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

What size suits a dining table?

For a single pendant over a small bistro or bedside table the 16cm small is appropriate. Over a four-seat dining table the 26cm medium works as a single fitting, and the 36cm large suits longer tables or kitchen islands. Two or three sizes can also be clustered at varied drops for a longer run.

How is the cable shortened?

The 150cm cable can be adjusted on installation by a qualified electrician to set the drop height required for your ceiling and surface. The transparent cable is intentionally visible as part of the design.
