Description

The Elsa is a 2-light crystal wall light built around two cube-shaped shades encrusted with small octagon crystals, mounted on a horizontal satin nickel backplate. Each cube holds a G9 bulb (sold separately) behind the crystal framework, casting light through the faceted surfaces and throwing prismatic reflections onto adjacent walls. The satin nickel finish provides a soft brushed metallic base that contrasts with the clarity of the crystal without competing for visual attention.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways, and bedrooms where decorative task or accent lighting is needed, the Elsa mounts 125mm out from the wall and spans 300mm horizontally, making it suitable for mounting above mirrors, flanking bed headboards, or lighting a narrow hallway section. The two-bulb configuration provides balanced light distribution across the width of the fitting. The cubes sit on short arms extending from the central plate, positioning them to either side of a central mounting point.

Each cube measures approximately 100mm across and contains rows of individual octagon-cut crystals set into a metal frame, creating a geometric texture that catches both natural daylight and artificial light from within. The satin nickel frame carries a low-sheen brushed finish that sits comfortably in both contemporary and transitional interiors, pairing with chrome taps, brushed steel handles, and polished nickel accessories without clashing. At 0.9kg the fitting mounts securely to plasterboard or masonry walls using standard fixings.

What bulbs does the Elsa take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 2.5-4W and 2700K-3000K for warm white light. The crystals diffuse and refract the light, so higher wattages are not typically needed.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimming circuit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The specification table does not list an IP rating, which means the Elsa is not certified for bathroom zones requiring IP protection (zones 0, 1, 2). It may be used in a bathroom provided it is installed outside these zones, typically more than 60cm from a bath or shower enclosure. Confirm with a qualified electrician before fitting.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off and allow bulbs to cool fully. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe dust from the crystal surfaces. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or allowing water into the bulb sockets. Do not use spray cleaners or polishes on the crystals.
