Description

The Elon is a 30cm spherical pendant light with a matte white metal shade pierced by an organic, laser-cut pattern of irregular oval and teardrop apertures. A solid hemispherical cap covers the top of the sphere, concealing the integrated 40W 3000K LED module and the cable entry, while the lower two-thirds of the globe carries the openwork pattern that scatters warm light across walls and ceilings.

Suited to kitchen islands, dining tables, hallways and bedside positions, the Elon works equally well as a single pendant or in clusters of two or three at staggered heights. The 200cm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in entrance halls and stairwells. The integrated LED removes the need to source a separate bulb and keeps the upper hemisphere visually clean.

The all-metal shade gives the Elon a more substantial feel than the visually light, perforated form suggests, and the matte white powder coating diffuses any reflections from surrounding daylight. The cut-out pattern is asymmetric, so the pendant casts a soft, dappled shadow play onto nearby surfaces when lit, which is most visible in the evening against a plain ceiling. The 30cm diameter keeps the fitting in proportion above smaller tables, kitchen peninsulas and breakfast bars.
