Description

The Ellen is a 180mm crystal wall light built around a shallow dish-style shade encrusted with clear faceted crystal buttons, set on a curved satin nickel arm that projects 250mm from the wall. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the dish, with the light reflecting through and around the crystal surface to cast refracted light onto the surrounding wall and ceiling.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls, and bedroom accent positions, the Ellen provides a combination of ambient uplight and decorative sparkle without the floor footprint of a table lamp. The 250mm projection suits most wall widths and the compact 180mm dish diameter works in spaces where a larger wall light would overwhelm. The curved arm positions the crystal shade away from the wall, allowing light to wash in all directions rather than being trapped against the surface.

The satin nickel finish on the frame and backplate provides a soft metallic base that contrasts with the high-refraction crystal buttons without competing for visual attention. Each crystal is individually set into the metal framework, creating a textured surface that catches and redirects light depending on viewing angle. The fitting weighs 0.5kg and mounts to a standard UK wall box with fixings concealed behind the circular backplate.

The Ellen uses a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W (sold separately). Most users pair it with a 4-6W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for adequate ambient light without excessive heat inside the crystal shade.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on both the bulb and the dimmer model, so check specifications before installation.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 250mm from the wall to the furthest point of the crystal dish. This allows light to wash around the shade rather than being trapped against the wall surface, but means it requires clearance in narrow hallways or beside doorways.

Can the crystals be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool completely, then wipe each crystal button with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal framework or using household sprays.
