Description

The Ella is an 8 light crystal pendant built around a two-tier chandelier frame enclosed within a 500mm diameter cylindrical shade made from vertical ivory cream silk strands. The inner chandelier sits on an antique brass frame with eight E14 candle fittings arranged across upper and lower tiers, each surrounded by faceted crystal drops and dressed with additional crystal pieces that hang below the lower tier. The silk shade wraps the chandelier without concealing it, allowing the crystal structure to show through the vertical strands.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Ella provides both ambient light through the diffusing silk and decorative sparkle from the exposed crystal. The 950mm minimum drop positions the pendant 600-700mm above a dining table in a standard 2.4m room, while the adjustable chain extends to 1870mm for higher ceilings or stairwell installations. The antique brass finish on the canopy, chain and chandelier arms carries a slightly aged patina that warms the ivory tone of the shade.

The silk shade is built from individual strands rather than fabric panels, creating a textured surface that softens light output while maintaining transparency. Each of the eight E14 fittings takes a candle bulb up to 40W (sold separately), with the total 320W capacity providing significant illumination when all eight positions are filled. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. At 7kg the pendant requires a ceiling fixing rated for the load, with the antique brass canopy concealing a standard UK ceiling rose.

The pendant takes eight E14 candle bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to achieve the warm glow shown in product imagery without the heat output of halogen.

Is the Ella dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable bulbs and paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming, but the bulbs and dimmer must also be rated as dimmable.
