Description

The Eliot is a 2-light bathroom wall light built on a solid brass frame finished in polished chrome, with two curved opal glass shades flanking a central circular backplate. Each G9 socket holds a 3W LED bulb (two included), producing warm 3000K light diffused through the opal glass. The IP44 rating allows safe installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, where moisture and splashes are present but direct water jets are not expected.

Designed for horizontal mounting above bathroom mirrors and vanity units, the Eliot's 470mm width suits single and double-basin setups where even facial illumination is needed. The curved glass shades angle light forward and sideways, reducing shadows under the chin and at the sides of the face compared to single overhead fittings. The 130mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of mirror edges and tiled backsplashes.

The polished chrome finish on the solid brass frame provides a high-gloss metallic accent that pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings commonly found in contemporary and traditional bathrooms. The opal glass diffuses the LED point source into a soft, broad wash of light without visible glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions at a basin. The combined output from the two 3W LEDs totals 6W at 3000K, providing functional task light without the heat or energy draw of older halogen G9 bulbs.

What bathroom zones is the Eliot rated for?

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, where splashes and moisture are present. This covers positions above basins, outside shower cubicles, and general bathroom wall mounting. Zone 1 (inside shower enclosures) requires IP65 or higher.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 LED bulbs rated at 3W maximum per socket. Two 3W 3000K G9 LEDs are included, but these can be replaced with any G9 LED up to 3W if one fails or if a different colour temperature is preferred.

What width mirror or basin does this suit?

The 470mm width works above single basins from 500mm wide upwards, and above double-basin vanity units where the light is centred between the two sinks. For very wide mirrors over 1200mm, consider pairing two Eliot fittings, one above each basin position.

How is the polished chrome maintained?

Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove water spots and fingerprints. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, which can scratch the chrome plating on the solid brass frame.
