Description

The Eliot is a single-light bathroom wall light built from solid brass with a polished chrome finish and a frosted glass shade. The fitting measures 280mm tall by 90mm wide with a 130mm projection from the wall, and includes a 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K colour temperature. The IP44 rating allows use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, including over sinks and on walls near showers where water splashing may occur.

Designed for bathroom mirror lighting, the frosted glass shade diffuses the 3W LED into a soft, even wash that reduces glare on reflective surfaces. The fitting mounts vertically beside a mirror or horizontally above a vanity, with the circular chrome backplate covering a standard UK electrical box. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient bathroom light and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and other fittings common in bathroom installations.

The solid brass construction resists corrosion in humid environments better than steel or aluminium alternatives, while the polished chrome plating adds a protective layer against moisture. The frosted glass cylinder tapers slightly from top to bottom, giving the fitting a traditional profile that suits period and transitional bathroom schemes. The included 3W LED runs cooler and lasts longer than halogen G9 bulbs previously used in this style of fitting.

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which includes walls adjacent to showers and directly above sinks where water splashing may occur. It cannot be installed inside a shower enclosure or directly above a bath (zone 1).

Can the bulb be replaced?

Yes. The fitting takes a standard G9 LED bulb up to 3W. A 3W LED G9 at 3000K is included, but can be replaced with any G9 LED of the same wattage if a different colour temperature is preferred.

The Eliot is designed to mount vertically beside a mirror, but can be rotated 90 degrees and mounted horizontally above a vanity if required. The glass shade is sealed at both ends so orientation does not affect function.

When mounted vertically beside a bathroom mirror, position the centre of the fitting at approximately 1.6-1.7m from the floor to align with typical eye level for grooming tasks. The 280mm height means the fitting will extend from roughly 1.45m to 1.73m when centred at 1.6m.
