Description
The Elara is a 1200mm linear pendant built from layered vertical alabaster panels suspended below a slender brass canopy. Eight G9 lamp holders sit behind the stone, lighting the panels from within along the full length of the run. The fitting measures 1200mm long, 140mm wide and 150mm high, and hangs on multiple thin steel suspension cables that drop from the rectangular canopy.
Designed for long dining tables, kitchen islands and reception desks where a horizontal light source is needed, the Elara works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher. The cable suspension is adjustable on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or 800-900mm above an island worktop. The 1200mm span suits tables and islands of 1.6m or longer, where the proportions of the run read as deliberate rather than crowded.
Each alabaster panel is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral density and translucency vary across the eight positions. Panels are arranged in a stepped configuration with staggered upper and lower edges, creating a layered profile rather than a single flat plane. The Soft White and Brass finish pairs the warm metallic tone of the canopy and end caps with the cool honed surface of the alabaster, drawing out the natural markings in the stone when the G9 lamps are lit.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Elara take?
The fitting takes 8 x G9 capsule bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white G9 LED capsules at 2700K-3000K and 2-3W per lamp, which gives an output similar to traditional 25W halogen capsules without the heat.
What ceiling height and table length does it suit?
The Elara works best with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher and tables or islands of 1.6m or longer. The cable suspension is adjustable on installation, so the bar can typically be set 700-800mm above a dining table or 800-900mm above an island worktop.
Does the alabaster vary between panels?
Yes. Each of the eight panels is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ across the bar. This is a feature of the natural stone and contributes to the layered visual effect when the lamps are lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
