Description

A garland 130cm long on a twisted jute cord, with recycled glass baubles hung along it, each one dropping about 5cm below the cord on its own metal cap. The glass is antique gold throughout, lustred so the surface breaks the light rather than reflecting it back flat. There is a hook at each end.

One hundred and thirty centimetres will run the length of a mantelpiece, or wind down through the front branches of a tree. Strapped across a wooden mantel with pine above it, the gold sits against the green instead of being lost in it. The hooks mean it goes up without anything being tied.

The glass is recycled and the cord is natural jute. Every bauble is made singly, so the depth of the gold and the spacing along the cord differ from garland to garland. Four other Ekiti colourways are made.
