Description

The Eclipse is a single wall light with a clear ribbed glass bowl shade, set in front of a thin round disc on a round wall plate. The ribs run out from the centre of the shade to its rim, and the open bowl faces into the room. It is made of brass and glass and comes in five finishes: Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black and Polished Brass, with the Matt Black in RAL 9005. The wall light is 20cm tall and 20cm across, and it stands 15.5cm out from the wall, a depth that suits a spot beside a bed or a sofa.

We see it in bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms. A pair either side of a bed works as bedside lights, a row along a dining room wall frames the table from the side, and in a living room one beside a sofa or a fireplace adds a point of light at eye level. Choose the finish to suit the room: the three brasses and Antique Silver sit well with older interiors and warm woods, while Matt Black looks crisp against pale walls. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

Every Eclipse is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and glass, in the finish you choose. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. The wall light is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, with a maximum of 4W per bulb, so pick one up before the electrician arrives and the light is ready the moment it goes up on the wall.
