The Eclipse is a flush ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling and gives its light through a clear ribbed glass dome. A round ceiling plate holds a short stem, and a flat brass disc sits just above the shade, so the glass hangs beneath a neat brim. It is 15.5cm tall and 20cm across, made from brass and glass. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W. We offer it in Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black or Polished Brass, with the Matt Black painted to RAL 9005.

At just 15.5cm tall, it suits a hallway where a pendant would hang too low, keeping the light close to the ceiling as people pass beneath it. The single ribbed dome has a classic shape that sits happily in a period hallway or a modern one, and you can choose Satin Brass or Polished Brass for warmth, Antique Brass or Antique Silver for an aged look, or Matt Black for a crisper outline. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only and never for anywhere it could be splashed.

Every Eclipse is made to order for you in Ireland, built from brass with a clear ribbed glass shade. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. Because it is wired in to the mains, a qualified electrician should fit it to your ceiling, and once it is up the only thing it will ask of you is a new bulb when the old one burns out.
